Thank you for coming to find out why I care about you & your memories so much that I want to help you preserve them in a luxury faux flower arrangement, forever.
My mission is to bring you joy by capturing moments & preserving your memories, forever, with faux flower arrangements.
Faux Floral UK is a one woman band, Hanna (that's me!), I'm based in Cambridgeshire and it's more than just a business to me. It's a tribute to enduring love & celebrating your cherished memories through flowers. We all have memories invoked by a flower, whether we realise it or not. And The Language of Flowers can be oh so very emotive, when you know how to read it!
Through combing The Language of Flowers, with realistic artificial flowers, to eternally capture memories, I hope to curate a display for you that you'll cherish forever.
Where it all began
So lets start at the beginning, a bit about the person behind Faux Floral UK, that'll be me!
I'm Hanna. A daughter, a wife to my school sweetheart, mum to my rainbow boy and the heart & soul behind Faux Floral UK.
My love for flower arranging goes all the way back to my childhood, watching my mum create floral wonders at home, for local competitions & the church. This is where I first witnessed the transformative power of blooms, the ability of petals to tell stories & evoke emotions.
My nannie also had a passion for flowers, but the artificial flower variety. In her garden, artificial flowers reigned supreme! Her garden was a canvas of everlasting blooms, leaving an indelible mark on my heart. It’s through nannie Daph that I discovered the allure of artificial flowers. Even though back in the 80's the realism of faux, shall we say(!), wasn't outstanding, I could see the joy they brought to my nannie Daph all year round.
Eternal memories blooming
The formative experiences planted the seeds of my love for all floral varieties.
Last year, I faced the profound impact of loss with the passing of my dad. His departure left a void, prompting me to reassess life's priorities. While processing my grief his wisdom echoed in my ears;
"Money isn't everything; follow your dreams."
In his memory, I embraced his wise words & put a pause on a successful 20+ year career in digital marketing. Trading the hustle of London for a renewed focus on family & rediscovering my long-buried dreams.
I've since been on a journey of rediscovery. In the quiet beauty of arranging flowers, I found solace & reawakened my passion that had long been sleeping. The symbolism & personal memories embedded in a specific bloom really spoke to me. Through combining The Language of Flowers, with realistic artificial flowers to eternally capture cherished memories, I was inspired to create Faux Floral UK.
Why Faux Floral
Faux Floral UK is more than a business to me - it's a tribute to enduring love & celebrating cherished memories. We might not realise it, but we all have memories invoked by a flower or emotions that can be expressed through The Language of Flowers.
Carnations are my flower. Some think of them as a cheap, garage or funeral flower, but to me they are special. Carnations are my dads favourite flower, my birthday flower & the white carnation symbolises new beginnings. So when I created my logo, it HAD to include carnations. The main flower is my dad and the bud is me x
